Reserve Ranch Gamebird

Hunting quail in Texas is a gentleman's sport with our pasture ready hunting rigs. Our excellent staff of dog handlers with trained English pointers and labrador retrievers will keep you "in the birds!" Our habitat management coupled with our release bird program will provide you with plenty of opportunities while afield.

The Reserve Ranch is a state-licensed bird shooting preserve that allows us to release and hunt pheasant, and chukkar in addition to quail. The pheasant and chukkar hunts are conducted the same as quail hunts with the pointers and retrievers. Entertain friends or business associates with a mixed-bag bird shoot. With our preserve license, we can hunt from August through May.

The mourning and white-winged dove will challenge the best of wingshooters. The Reserve Ranch is in a traditonal migratory flyway. Therefore, our dove hunts are based from the main lodge, and we travel a short distance to flyways near grain fields in the area. The season is typically in August/September and can be combined with pheasant, chukkar, and quail. Call for details and availability.
